Where do you get the material from? Amazon? Do you have a link? Thank you!!!
Thanks
👍
Unfortunately buying stuff because it's cheaper and the CCP has their hands in all of China's businesses so im actually you're supporting the communist country don't know if you know that or not and in this world today China and Russia are not our friends 🇺🇲
I almost understand your point. The problem is that many of the power tools bought from Lowes or Home Depot are made in China. Most goods bought from Amazon are made in China. They are starting to move the factory, but most Apple products, including the iPhone, have been made in China. I wish the rust belt was the manufacturing belt as it once was, but not to start a political debate, most manufacturing has been pushed out of the US.
Excellent build,! 👍 I like how you take the time to do a little detail on the fit and finish of the edges and mounting surfaces, well done.
Thanks
Very impressive bits.
I agree
Great video, thanks for sharing! At what RPM did you run both those bits?
I ran them both at max. They are both just over an inch. I don't normally slow down unless I am using a wide bit like for raised panels.
@@ShopRamblings Great, thanks for the reply :-)
I own that exact router template guide you have shown in this video. I just want to let you know that you are making a mistake in its use. Whenever you need to use that template or any other template for that matter you need to start cutting on the long grain and go around to the end grain. You should not continue on the end grain and come across to the other long grain. That will increase the chance of grain tear out. You need to flip your work piece upside down, reinstall the template and now you will be cutting in the right direction. Think of a square piece of wood that you are using that aluminum corner round jig to soften the corners. You can only route opposite corners on one face and then after you flip the project over you can now do the remaining corners. I hope that helps.
That is some great advice. This blade cut across the grain in both directions without any tear out. I was testing it to see how well it would work. I knew if it did tear out, I had plenty of room to cut it down and redo it.
my birch 6'x25" was way cleaner than your acacia island. I went through the available ones and tried to find the best one but damn yours looks like a bunch of scrap! I'd take that garbage back and tell them to do better!
I would have if I had the time to wait on them getting another one in. I made it turn out nice. It just took some extra work.
I was looking at that spiral head flush bit with the individual cutters. Looks identical to ones on Amazon like the spe tool one but for less than ½ the price
I have been getting ads from spe for months. I can't tell any difference with this one except the price.
The compression bit looks nice. The carbide blade bit looks fantastic! Your link goes to a page with 2 options. Is the one you have the 1 1/4" or 1 1/8" diameter? Grats on 12K subs.
Thanks. That is the diameter. They are both 1/2" shank.
@@ShopRamblings I get that they're both1/2" shank. However, BangGood's page has 2 options for the carbide blade bit cutting diameter: 1 1/4" and 1 1/8". I was wondering which one you have.
@ST-0311 I got the 11/8", the smaller it is, the easier to get into corners.
Great review, just what I needed. Ended up going with the ridgid because of the shadow light. With proper form and going slow on cuts, deflection can be minimized. Additionally, 90% of the cuts I make are not extended and in the fixed position from which there is considerably less deflection. Besides if precision is critical I’ll probably take it to the cross cut sled on my table saw. Price helped too, snagged the ridgid 12” for $399 at Home Depot
It was a hard choice. I still don't know if I made the right one for me. With what you do, it sounds like you made the right choice
Hey! Nice review. What's the blade arbor size on the R4241?
5/8
What's the arbor size of the 10-inch saw model R4241?
It is 5/8". This is the blade I use. It is the best blade I have found for miter saws. amzn.to/3zltYJl
I just bought one of these saws, still in the box. Will put it together very soon. Thank you for an excellent video. I’m sure I will have the same problem at some point. Thanks again Sir, God Bless.
The T2 doesn't have the same issue. It has a timed belt.
@@ShopRamblings I’m not sure what a timed belt is. Like I said, it’s still in the box. Thank you for your response. I’ll figure it out, have a lot to learn.
@hawkenman.549 Luckily, you will never have to figure it out. On the original 36-725, the belt had around 5 groves that ran horizontal around the belt. Like a serpentine belt on a car. Over time, the belt could wear and start to slip. This has caused hundreds of people problems trying to figure out why their saw was losing power. In the new model 36-725t2, the belt has vertical groves that match with groves on the pulleys. This acts like teeth in a gear. It is the type of belt they use on cars to keep the cam in time with the crank because it can't slip. The blade doesn't need to be kept in time with the motor, but it fixes the main issue this saw had. It is still the best table saw for under $1000. That is why it has been sold for over a decade with only one new version. If you are new to woodworking, you are off to a good start. This saw will help keep you from the frustration many new woodworkers have trying to get straight accurate cuts on a jobsite saw.
@@ShopRamblings Now it all makes sense . I get it. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. At almost 71 I have a lot to learn. I’m trying . Time is not on my side anymore but I feel so blessed. Thank you once again. God Bless brother.
Great review. I recommend watching at 1.5 speed.
I am from the South. I am working on talking faster. Thanks for the comment.
I always go to this vid when I’m gonna make more French cleats. Thanks much.
I need to make a new video on cleats. I have a box full of tools that need holders.
That's fine and all, and thanks for the upload, but... The problem you had with the OS not wanting you to use the MKS software, is the same but worse for Mac OS. There are ways around that problem, that involve entering some 'magic' words into the Mac Terminal. There are also some issues with recognizing ports with the Mac. The extension that comes from Elegoo should NOT be used and causes problems. Once installed there are some magic words to remove that too. The Mac OS has the proper (CH340) software already integrated into it. Sadly, that still eaves a few issues. Some have suggested that you need to push the middle reset button on the display board. You don't . Then there is more item to contend with. The inability to detect the COM (PC) or USB port with the MKS download tool. That is either the board being defective or more likely a bad USB C cable. Apparently some are power only and don't have all their wires. Yes, I know. This is ridiculous, but it is what it is. @ShopRamblings has done a good job of providing a walkthrough of the process. But be warned! This is still shark infested waters! lol. And if you ask me for the magic words, I'll copy paste them here. Otherwise I will assume everyone else had success with this! Now back to modding the Phecda for limit switches..... No idea how any laser comes without this basic and needed feature🤔
Thanks for the info.
I am in South Africa and I get the feeling that TEMU is hit and miss.......Amazon has standards......Temu haha
Same here.
Nice review covering the available features of this Hercules router. Now, since I don't need it immediately, will wait for the next sale. Just liked and subscribed. Looking fwd to more of your videos.
Glad it was helpful! I have seen some of the recent sales down to $89.
Very impressed and I like the video, good job, guys.
Thanks. It is a great machine.
What's with everyone on youtube putting temu down. Yes they sell some crap just like the big box stores but I have had some good bargains from them and they are fine. Amazon sell just as much crap as temu as well. I have even purchased big brand named power tools that have failed less than a year of use.
I agree. I have people complaining that they didn't get a $200 American only made name brand tool for $10. I have gotten $150 generic tool for $50. You just have to be realistic in your expectations.
No miter slot on the Bauer is a deal breaker for me. I have the Ridgid - it's fantastic...zero complaints
I've had the Ridgid for years. I have never used the miter slot. I like it for the bigger work area.
Great video, makes my opinion even stronger that the only thing I'll buy from the Chinese is chicken and broccoli LOL
Sound like a good plan.
looks solid and lasting ,very ihterested in this brand of tool !
I am still using them and they are holding up perfect.
So you expect thousand dollar quality from 100 dollar piece of wood?
No. I can get a $3 board that has been dried. I think the wood was not properly dried before it was glued. Regardless if a product states it is or does something, I expect it to be or do what it claims. This stated "finish ready". It was not smooth or flat. A construction grade 2x4 has a smoother surface than this did..
I have the Bosch but trying to get it to 90 degree cuts were such a pain. Does the rigid have the same issue?
The question is, why were you having trouble getting 90⁰ cut. I was able to make 90⁰ cuts with both saws. The Bosch is easier to get 90⁰. Is the issue the saw needs to be squared where it makes the same cut every time but is not 90⁰ or does it cut different angles?
@@ShopRamblings when I pull out the saw, the less square it gets. It gets worse the more I use the bevel and bring it back up. I’ve tried to fix it multiple times but I don’t know why it’s not square. The way Bosch has it where I need to go to the back and adjust it is really annoying and wish there was a way to “lock” it into the right spot
The red lever should lock it.
Gezzzz!!! What did you expect for $193.97 per square foot?
For it to be close to what it said it was on the package.
Just assembled mine and was wondering how you turn the soap off. Thanks.✌️😎
It is not very intuitive. Glad I was able to help.
Great review. At the moment (June 2024) it's $20 cheaper to order the gauge and fence separately ($128 + $117 = $245) versus the combination ($265), the reason being the two pieces are in a USA warehouse and the combo is in Canada. Granted the combo has free shipping but it's only $3 shipping for the two pieces. Strange but true 😝
It has come down in price . When I bought mine it was over $300. I am still glad I got it. It would have been an easier decision at today's price.
Thanks for the video. There use to be a product called Long Ranger or something like that but it is no where to be found any longer. Sorry if it was answered but what is the name of the pass thru blast gate and where did you get them?
I 3d printed them. I am moving my collector outside, and I am in the process of designing new gates with tactile switches inside. The prototypes came out good. I hope to get a final model done this week. If there is any interest, I may offer them for sale.
i installed some anchors into concrete with this stuff, waited 3 hours and they pulled out! still stretchy/sticky!
That would suck.
Enjoyed your video "all of it" Nice job, like what you did with bench and the way you went round it. Thanks for the ideas on improving it。 God bless。
Thanks
Very helpful!! This is exactly the video i wanted to see. I been having this pressure washer for a couple months already but never found a switch or anything to switch to the soap part so i just gave up.
I was the same way. Glad it helped.
Thanks mate, helped me a lot
Glad it helped
This does have fraction readout to 1/16”. Go to unit setting, long press D. It will give options of fraction setting.
Sorry I didn't cover that. I gave it away, so I can't test it now.
Really helpful review! Nice job!
I am glad you found it helpful.
@@ShopRamblings after seeing your detailed review I subscribed to your channel. You answered questions I had so I jumped off the fence and bought one.
@davidgilbert2288 I hope you like it.
i enjoy your videos and your losing weight !!
Thanks.
Just as a heads-up, if you want to get to the file location, and you're on window 11. 1. Find the desktop icon, right click on it to open drop down menu. 2. Once the tab expands, click at the very bottom to show more options 3. Then, when that tab shows up, the fourth item down should say open file location
Thanks
Gonna follow this and turn it into a baking area!! And add tile on top!!Thanks!!!😎🤙
Great idea!
Sorry my friend you missed understand look I don’t expect you answer is I make comments about things people should in you tube you video is nice I live in London I don’t have friends to talk to and expend my time making comments for things I like things I don’t like especially for wood work because I’m carpenter since I was in college and because I born in Colombia and I m British now I want to settle one day I like to listen to you explain everything so nice and accurate easy to understand is like face to face conversation some people is boring to listen to but you is like when I was in college listen to my teacher thanks from the bottom of my heart that is all right 🙏🙏

Thank you for this video. I have had the same experience on Temu, which made me feel like I had been seriously ripped off by third party vendors on Amazon. When I did my comparisons, most of the products were IDENTICAL! The others were only different because one had a brand name stamped on them. However, all were marked made in China!!! In fact, it made me wonder if that brand had their items manufactured by that same factory, but paid the factory to apply the logo before it was shipped. Some of the markups on Amazon were as much as 400%, which told me where all of the negative remarks about Temu are coming from-all of those Amazon vendors that have been exposed!!!
Many factories will make the same product and put several different brand names on it. The more people who want to a profit off the same item, the more you have to pay.
I have the plasma cuuter guozhi 65 nhf its a beast 😮
It is crazy how good it works for the size and cost.
Thanks for a good video
I am glad you liked it.
Thanks for your review. I just purchased one on sale. 89 plus tax.
Insert mine all the time. It is still running strong.
My wife is going to be so ticked that I bought a new barn tool! Teehee! Thanks for the vid!
I still use this one, and it is still working great.
Hongdui have taken an idea and done it better. That's how progress is made. Somebody invents a steam engine, an internal combustion engine, a toaster, whatever, somebody else comes along and builds a better one. It was ever thus. In this case the guides are a safety feature and should be open source. I believe Saw Stop have done this with their technology, at least outside the US.
Agreed
Thanks for the great comparison of all the styles.
I was hoping people would find it useful. I wish I had known before buying all the other style clamps.
Another great informational video! Thanks. I have been pondering these for some time. The looked very useful but as with many shop tools you have stuff that while it doesn't do exactly what you want it does the job. After watching the video I decided these are the way to go! Again thanks a ton for the info!
Thanks
I was never showed either lol, to me dog holes are the way, just more versatile..having said that I'm in the process of designing my new bench for dog holes, dint know about the green handles of micro jig, I got the yellow and its for a tapering jig on table saw...by the way i really like those small squares you featured, thanks for that my man, totally accurate with cool features...
I have a tapering jig. I also have a 3', 5', and 8' straighting jigs. They are much easier than a jointer. I am going to rebuild my table top or just fill in the groves with epoxy. Dogs on 4 in centers are definitely the way to go.
